How to use it for a Gua Sha massaging ritual?
1. Large comb
stimulates sensory nerves in the scalp, which relaxes facial muscles while inducing a sedative state of consciousness (great to do around bedtime to calm nerves).
2. Shallow long-curved edge
is ideal for stimulating lymphatic fluid through the cheeks, neck, mid-face, and forehead
3. Concave groove
fits the jawline, cheekbones, and eyebrow to break up collagen adhesions and increase facial muscle tone.
4. Straight edge at the bottom
sits perfectly on the upper cheekbone to remove puffiness and fluid from the “bags” under the eyes
5. A micro-comb edge
is wonderful on forehead wrinkles, upper eyelid swelling, and stimulating collagen and fine lines above the mouth.
FAQS
It is encouraged that you perform Gua Sha atleast once a day for 10-15mins to start seeing results. Ideally, practicing Gua Sha once in the morning, and once in the evening 4-7 days a week will lead to the best results.
Clean your gua sha tool/facial roller after each use with warm water and gentle soap.
To protect your stainless steel gua sha tool, we recommend keeping it dry, returning it to the pouch after each use, and storing it on a flat surface.
It is important to use gentle, feather-like strokes on delicate areas such as the eyes, throat, and sides of the neck. A slightly firmer pressure can be applied to the jawline and the back of the neck and shoulders.
Rule of thumb: Never dig or pull at the skin with your tool. The gua sha should rest almost flat against the skin and glide effortlessly
